On December 5, the Chongzuo to Pingxiang section of the Nanning to Pingxiang high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as the Nanning-Pingxiang high-speed railway Chong-Ping section) was completed and opened, marking the full operation of the Nanning to Pingxiang high-speed railway. Nanning to Pingxiang can be reached in 1 hour and 15 minutes, forming a fast passenger transport corridor directly connecting Nanning with the Sino-Vietnamese border city.
The Nanning-Pingxiang high-speed railway is constructed in two sections: Nanning to Chongzuo and Chongzuo to Pingxiang, among which the Nanning to Chongzuo section has already been opened in December 2022. The newly opened Chong-Ping section of the Nanning-Pingxiang high-speed railway starts from Chongzuo South Station, passes through Chongzuo City, and ends at Pingxiang East Station in Pingxiang City. The line is 81 kilometers long, with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Along the line, there are Chongzuo South, Ningming East, Longzhou, and Pingxiang East stations, with Chongzuo South being an existing station and others being newly built stations.
