The south extension of Line 6 is about 2.0 km long with 1 station; Line 17 is about 8.2 km long with 4 stations; Line 18 is about 19.8 km long with 11 stations.
Starting with the first train on December 27, the south extension of Beijing Metro Line 6 (Luyang Station), the middle section of Line 17 (Workers' Stadium—Shilihe), and Line 18 (Malianwa—Tiantongyuan East) began initial operations. This added about 30 km of operating mileage. As a result, the total operating mileage of Beijing's urban rail transit surpassed 900 km, reaching 909 km.

The south extension of Line 6 opened one station and one section this time—Luyang Station—with an operating mileage of 2.0 km, effectively strengthening the connection between Tongzhou District and central Beijing.

Line 17 is a high-capacity rail transit trunk line running north–south through Beijing's urban area. Previously, the southern section (Jiahui Lake—Shilihe) and the northern section (Workers' Stadium—Future Science City North) had opened in phases. The newly opened middle section (Shilihe—Workers' Stadium) is 8.2 km long and includes 4 stations, 2 of which are transfer stations: Dongdaqiao Station connects with Line 6, and Yonganli Station connects with Line 1. Guangqumenwai Station is temporarily not opening due to integrated construction.

Line 18 is an east–west backbone line serving northern Beijing. The newly opened section from Malianwa Station to Tiantongyuan East Station is part of the Line 13 capacity expansion and upgrade project. It runs through Haidian and Changping districts, is about 19.8 km long, and has 11 stations.
