
Line 13 Phase I is about 29.07 km long with 21 stations; Line 30 Phase I is about 27.96 km long with 24 stations.
At 10:00 a.m. on December 16, Phase I of Chengdu Metro Line 13 and Phase I of Line 30 began initial operation. With this, the total operating mileage of Chengdu rail transit exceeded 750 km.

The Phase I project of Chengdu Metro Line 13 generally runs east–west, starting at Wayoutan Station in the west and ending at Long’an Station in the east. The line is 29.07 km long and entirely underground. It has 21 stations in total, including 11 transfer stations, 1 depot, and 2 main substations. It is a fully automated rapid urban rail line, using 8-car regional A-type trainsets, with a maximum operating speed of 100 km/h. It is also Chengdu’s first fully automated rapid urban rail line using an AC traction system.

The Phase I project of Chengdu Metro Line 30 generally runs east–west, starting at the east station of Shuangliu Airport Terminal 2 in the west and ending at the south station of Longquanyi Railway Station in the east. The line is 27.96 km long and entirely underground. It has 24 stations in total, including 6 transfer stations, 1 depot, and 2 main substations. It is a fully automated line, using 6-car B-type trainsets, with a maximum operating speed of 80 km/h. It is also the nation’s first fully automated line with a dual-mode signaling system of “train-to-train communication + train-to-ground communication.”
